Know Your Bed Linen
Cotton is a natural fabric made from cotton plant seedpods. Sheeting fabric is made up of fibres running in two directions at right angles to each other, known as the warp and the weft. The warp runs lengthwise, and the weft runs across the width. The threads are combined during the weaving process.
What is?
Homogeneous blend – is a combination in which the composition of all elements is uniform throughout the blend.
Vat Dye - gives the fabric excellent colour fastness, meaning it should not lose its colour in hot washes or when in contact with bleach-based products, however, if vat dyed linen is washed with optical brighteners, this chemical could fade the colour.
Carded cotton - is cotton that has been prepared for spinning into threads or yarns; carded cotton is the most common used yarn, most adaptable, durable and the least expensive yarn.
Care Instructions
We recommend washing your bed linen separately and before use, in a cool/warm machine wash.
Wash before use as your bed linen has been handled during manufacturing and has been in a stored environment and therefore may be dusty.
Avoid chlorine bleach – While chlorine is a great stain remover and whitener, it can significantly reduce the life of your linen by damaging and weakening the fibres. Instead, use an oxygen-based bleach/whitener or spot-treat the stains.
